After obtaining his professional certification in Pakistan, he started is professional career in public accounting practice where, in addition to handling assurance engagements, he advised clients on tax planning, management consulting and public issue of shares. He then moved to investment banking where he established the first corporate brokerage house of the country, ran the treasury and capital markets divisions. He then moved to commercial banking where he was responsible for establishing the asset management subsidiary of the bank and launch of country’s first open ended mutual fund in private sector.
