Farooq brings 35 years of professional experience in accounting, financial management, financial systems, process improvement and data analytics. After obtaining his professional certification in Pakistan, he started is professional career in public accounting practice where, in addition to handling assurance engagements, he advised clients on tax planning, management consulting and public issue of shares. He then moved to investment banking where he established the first corporate brokerage house of the country, ran the treasury and capital markets divisions. He then moved to commercial banking where he was responsible for establishing the asset management subsidiary of the bank and launch of country’s first open ended mutual fund in private sector.

Farooq migrated to Canada in 2004 and joined one of the top 10 I.T. Solution providers of the country based in Edmonton. He stayed with them for over 15 years and handled two ERP implementations along with various system and process improvements.

He established his own consulting in 2016 and provides accounting services, tax consultancy, systems and process improvements and ERP selection and implementation.
